Joyce "Hank" Broadus
Our classmate Joyce “Hank” Broadus was recently featured—on the front page, no less—of the May 6–12 edition of the Pittsburgh Courier after returning as a guest speaker at the Homewood Branch of the Carnegie Library during its 116th anniversary celebration. Please click on the link below to read the article. The occasion was especially meaningful, as Hank was warmly welcomed back to the very institution where she devoted years of distinguished service. It was a fitting homecoming for a respected librarian, educator, and community leader whose commitment to knowledge, literacy, and lifelong learning has touched countless lives. Seeing Hank honored in such a prominent way is a testament to the lasting impact of her professional contributions and the esteem in which she continues to be held. What a wonderful and well-deserved recognition for one of our own!

His dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence have culminated in a well-deserved milestone. We are incredibly proud and look forward to the impact his leadership and scholarship will continue to make.
Margo James Copeland
Margot James Copeland, our classmate, an Original Ogre, was recently appointed the Board Chair of AARP.
A distinguished leader in corporate philanthropy and civic engagement, Margot brings decades of executive experience to this prestigious role. She is the former Executive Vice President of Corporate Philanthropy and Civic Engagement at KeyBank, where she also served as Chair and CEO of the KeyBank Foundation.
Margot has been a vital member of the AARP Board of Directors since 2020, previously lending her expertise as Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee. Her profound commitment to service extends across renowned national and regional institutions. She currently sits on the boards of the Banner Bank (BANR:NASDAQ), Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Foundation and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. After being appointed by Governor Ted Strickland, she served for nine years on the Kent State University Board.
In addition to her professional accolades, Copeland is a deeply dedicated leader within the civic and Greek communities. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and The Links, Incorporated, notably serving as the landmark 15th National President of The Links.
